Frequently Asked Questions
Where can we play?
-- Any place that is safe for players to be running around playing a combat simulation sport. A private yard, an open field, a gym, office space, woods that allow free movement. Practically anywhere. The infrared beam fired by the blasters have no safety risks. The blasters shoot hundreds of feet so there is no need for the players to be close to each other. The ability to spread is a good characteristic of a perfect battlefield. If our camo bunkers are needed for an outdoor event we will have to be able to spike them 6 inches into the ground.
How many players can play at a time?
-- Up to 16 can play at a time, separated into two teams. 8 blue team blasters. 8 red team blasters. The minimum number of players for a game is 4, playing 2 versus 2.
How long are the games?
-- Game times are typically 7-12 minutes for Team Battle, our primary game. Adjustments can be made based on player area and your time schedule. Other game types are objective based and can span anywhere from 1 to 30 minutes. Swapping out players between the games only takes 2 minutes in most cases, as long as they have already heard the instructions. Add 2 minutes for instructions where needed.
A group event where each new game has players that need instructions might want to plan on 12-15 minute time slots. 2 minutes for instructions. 2 minutes for gear up and lining up at their base. Then the game time.
What if it rains?
-- We can play in a light, intermittent rain or drizzle. Anything heavier will require taking a break while it passes. If the forecast looks bad you can rescheduled or cancel your event without penalty, right up until 2 hours before the Game Master begins driving to your location. Deposits are refunded on cancellations. We can play in temperatures 35 degrees or higher. Bunkers can be used in winds up to 25 mph.
Can I decide to add more time at the event?
-- Yes, in most cases. As long as the Game Master isn't already committed to another event after yours.
Can we rent the equipment?
-- No. Tactical Laser Tag provides a service that is much, much more than renting equipment. We provide all the set up, make sure players understand how to operate the equipment and play the game. And we supervise every game for maximum fun and safety. We take great pride in the maintenance of our equipment and have no interest in renting them out. There is a huge quality difference in our equipment and the kind that can be rented.
